Boracay is a cornucopia of goodies, food and everything in between. First goodies. There are many. The list is endless. Just check D’ Mall. For those in-between you have to explore and discover. Food? All kinds probably, except exotic food which I haven’t heard yet. From end to end of White Beach and from the unheard restaurants in Bulabog seaside strip, name it they have it. Only during peak season of tourists arrivals. But hey, Boracay is no longer experiencing off season. Loads of tourists come in daily. I can bet no zero tourist arrival even during the height of typhoon Frank.
Now, where were we? Yes, we’re talking about food in Boracay. If you take a serious walk at sundown along the White Beach, you can see a lot of interesting menus fighting for customers with their “attractive” prices for their set meals, buffets and a la carte dishes. Honestly, I’ve only tried a few dishes and buffets at restaurants my money could afford. I’m still dreaming of dining at one of those expensive dinner buffets in Boracay Regency or at Friday’s.
During our short stay in Bora, we skipped Mang Inasal, we skipped Andok’s although we loved their siopao with bola-bola filling because we can eat anytime in these famous fast food restos in Iloilo. They seemed to have branches all over the country. We tried to look for something new, something we haven’t tasted before. So we hauled ourselves towards Cindy’s and Bite Club which you couldn’t miss when you are near D’Mall amazing small park. Surprisingly the all beef spaghetti and palabok of Cindy’s won our votes. The tastes were very good and the peeled shrimps and squid rings in palabok are too much! The prices were very affordable at Boracay rate of P75.00 a plate – the size of a standard dinner plate. Next time when I’m in Boracay, hopefully, I’ll see to it I’ll order those tasty spaghetti and palabok.
Bite Club’s grilled burgers were delish but the gravy was a bit messy for my taste. If you want the biggest burger in town, their location is easy to find or you may call (036) 2885947 in case they offer home deliveries. Be sure you are in Boracay before you pick up the phone. Just kidding. See ya’ later at D’ Mall.
