If I featured here the favorite places that I’d been, Iloilo should be on top of the list.
Iloilo has so much to offer if you only know where to go, what to eat and what to see. Despite the fact that it has become the melting pot of cultures, Iloilo has preserved its own distinct character, color and flavor. Iloilo is no longer what used to be a jump-off point to other destinations. Through the years it has developed its own unique charm to attract visitors to come again and again.
Iloilo and Iloilo City in particular is once again the busiest tourists destination this January because of Dinagyang Festival. The Dinagyang Festival is a week-long celebration and the highlights will be on January 23-24, 2010. The festival has been elevated to the Hall of Famers because of its consistent title as the Best Tourism Event in the country. I’m proud as an Ilonggo and to be part of this very prestigious festival.
Come, enjoy and experience the best! Happy Dinagyang! Viva Señor Sto. Niño!
