The Works of Joey Pepperoni Pizzeria

When it comes to Italian food, I like pizza the most. Any kind of hot pizza can always make my mouth water. It’s just perfect because we went to Joey Pepperoni, the newest pizzeria in town. Joey Pepperoni is the brainchild of Mr. Joey Concepcion, President of RFM Corp.

We arrived at the restaurant a quarter before six. Only few customers were there  occupying the seats at the far end and a waiter was waiting at the door . The interior was cozy and formal,  earth colors dominate the whole setup, granite table tops, faux black leather covered seats, indirect and subdued lighting. I’d like to recommend this place when you want to treat your special someone with an intimate dinner. The place is not very hard to locate because it’s strategically located across UP Visayas. The price is comparable to other decent Italian resto and most of all the service was excellent.

First we ordered Bolognese pasta and a plate of pizza which we requested to be served at a later time. While waiting, the waiter served us iced tea – we chose the bottomless so we can have a refill. Moments later our pasta arrived smelling so nice and looking so delicious. Their pasta and pizza are rich with fresh and quality ingredients. The pizza which they call The Works is the house best seller.

A satisfying dinner without dessert seemed incomplete so we ordered Brownie a’ la Mode – a flat, rich chocolate cake topped with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream, garnished with chocolate syrup and dark chocolate shavings. I noticed the brownie was warm. I ate it slowly, feeling the warm and the cold sensation alternating in my tongue. The dessert became an instant piece of conversation which everyone was happy to talk about.
